The very initial history of the hotel starts from 1962, the time when the building wasn’t a hotel or more specifically when the building wasn’t the Duniway Hotel. The original tower was built by Andersen-Westfall.
In April 1962, the Carpenters Union struck across the region and picketed the construction site causing the project to pause.
