This trendy hotel is located across the street from Lincoln Park and is a 10-minute walk from Lincoln Park Zoo. This old building has an on-site restaurant and each room has been updated with free WiFi access.

One-bedroom suites, which are ideal for families traveling with children, feature two bathrooms, a king bed, and a separate sleeping area with bunk beds. Make extra room in your suitcase because you’ll want to load up on Jonathan Adler toiletries.

Hotel Lincoln

Every room at Hotel Lincoln, part of JdV by Hyatt, has a flat-screen cable TV and an iPod docking station. Original local art is used to decorate the guest rooms. There are also tea and coffee making facilities.

During the summer, this hotel provides bike rentals. Dry cleaning services and a business center are offered for guests’ convenience.

The Kennison opened in early 2018, serving weekend brunch and weekday dinner, with many of the dishes inspired by the Green Market across the street. While strictly a rooftop bar, J. Parker also serves cuisine such as fries, pickled Scotch eggs, and charcuterie and cheese platters. Guests may enjoy city views from the rooftop bar J. Parker while sipping a signature cocktail.

The service is kind and relaxed. There are no professional concierges, but front-desk employees are experts at making food and sightseeing recommendations. The little fitness room offers a few cardio machines but no pool or jacuzzi. The hotel provides free two-hour bicycle rentals to guests, as well as complimentary pedicab (rickshaw) trips to the surrounding beach and zoo.

Hotel Lincoln (Best For Staff Service)

Users enjoy it because, when it originally debuted in 2012, it was one of the city’s first true boutique hotels. This Joie de Vivre establishment encapsulates all of the reasons why Lincoln Park will never stop being great. The hotel’s eclectic and colorful décor, pleasant staff, and closeness to beautiful strolling places as well as pubs and restaurants virtually eliminate the need to go downtown. Back at the hotel, there’s much to do, including the restaurant, coffee shop, and rooftop bar.

4.  IVY Boutique Hotel-Restaurant: (Best For Design)

The art-filled IVY Hotel, with 63 large studios and suites, is an excellent option if you’re in Chicago on business or simply want space to spread out during your stay in the Windy City. You can choose from spacious studios or the colossal king or queen suites, which feature separate bedrooms and living areas.

Modern gray and purple furnishings, soft platform beds, and bamboo floors are included in each eco-friendly accommodation. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide sweeping city views, while automatic window curtains provide privacy if desired. The beautiful marble bathrooms with rainfall showers, soaking tubs, and complimentary Beekman 1802 bath products will delight you.

IVY Boutique Hotel-Restaurant

Begin your day with breakfast and a latte in the DiVine Lounge in the lobby. This hotel is just one block from lively Michigan Avenue and a short walk from the lake, putting you right in the middle of the activity. After a day of touring the city, get a sundowner and some light snacks at the rooftop lounge on the 16th floor and take in the breathtaking city views.

All rooms at Ivy Boutique Hotel have sophisticated dark wood furnishings and design, as well as automatic window drapery, a 42-inch flat-screen TV, and an iPod docking station. A separate living area is available in some rooms. For an additional cost, a fully equipped minibar, WiFi, and in-room spa services are provided.

All guests have complimentary access to CorePower Yoga and Planet Fitness. In addition, the hotel has over 3,000 square feet of conference and function space.

The hotel is one mile from Navy Pier and Millennium Park. The nearest airport is O’Hare International Airport, which is 16 miles away.

The Ivy Sky Terrace, a rooftop cocktail lounge with braised short rib sliders, tuna, and guacamole apps, and truffle fries are the hotel’s crowning features. Its umbrella-covered seating offers breathtaking views of the city, although it is only open seasonally (and also closes for rain).

The lobby bar serves daily breakfast and nitrogen-infused cocktails all year; dinner is only served here on select nights. Because there is no on-site fitness center or spa, the hotel provides passes to the adjacent Equinox (for a fee). There are two ballrooms accessible for meetings, totaling 3,000 square feet of exquisite, adaptable event space with in-house catering.

Overall the hotel itself is really modern and trendy looking. Cute lobby-level bar. The front desk staff was friendly. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were spacious, love the separate sitting area. The only unfortunate thing is there was no valet, so we had to drop our luggage off at the hotel then drive two blocks away to the parking garage in a different hotel then walk back to the hotel.

IVY Boutique Hotel-Restaurant (Best For Design)

We wanted to keep our car in the garage for a bit to walk around after check out but that meant we had to walk all of our luggage back to the car in the parking garage once we checked out. They said they would validate parking but we still paid $45, maybe because we stayed an extra few hours.

The other downfall for us was we had to go down to the front desk and ask for ice instead of there being ice machines on the floor. The hotel was a great price for the size of the room. The location was awesome, near everything. The staff was very friendly!

This hotel in Chicago’s Loop is inspired by historic Chicago architecture created by world-renowned architect Daniel Burnham, including mosaic floors and marble ceilings. A short walk away is famous Michigan Avenue shopping and Millennium Park.

Staypineapple Hotel

In each room, white and gray tones with mahogany furnishings are matched with modern comforts such as a flat-screen TV and soft bedding. Beautiful views of Millennium Park and Lake Michigan can be found in select apartments.

This room features a very nice bathroom, which adds to the “Naked Experience.” No detail is overlooked, with plush robes, slippers (that you may take home! ), incredibly soft bathroom towels, and Tommy Bahama products.

Staypineapple, An Iconic Hotel in The Loop, features a fitness center and bicycle rentals. Pets are provided with free bedding and water upon request.

I love how dog-friendly the hotel is. You may also satisfy your thirst with freshly brewed local coffee in the morning, pineapple-infused water accessible 24 hours a day, and daily happy hours to socialize with other visitors.

The best thing is that there is limitless bottled water and in-room coffee to keep you hydrated, which is ideal for people on the go! In comparison, several hotels want to charge you $3 (or more) for a small water bottle in your room.

Staypineapple Hotel (Limitless Bottled Water and In-Room Coffee)

Navy Pier, Chicago’s entertainment complex, is 3 kilometers away. The Chicago Theater and the Art Institute of Chicago are both within a 5-minute walk.

Many users find this hotel great but expensive, it is true that it is in the center but they think it is too expensive.

Who owns staypineapple hotels?

Michelle Barnet is the president and CEO of Pineapple Hospitality and StayPineapple Hotels and a 2017 Women of Influence recipient.

6.  The Guesthouse Hotel: (Full Kitchen in Room)

The Guesthouse Hotel in Chicago offers suites with gourmet kitchens and an on-site fitness center. Montrose Beach, located on Lake Michigan, is 2.8 kilometers away. There is free WiFi access.

At the Chicago Guesthouse Hotel, each suite has a flat-screen TV, high ceilings, and a private terrace. A washer and dryer are also provided. On each balcony, there are grilling amenities.

The Guesthouse Hotel

The suite has a master bedroom, a second bedroom, a gourmet kitchen, and an open living room. In addition, each room has its own private balcony with a gas grill. Bathrooms are medium in size, with spacious showers and some with tubs. Each apartment has a full-size washer and dryer.

Although there are many excellent restaurants in the area, having a full kitchen in your room allows you to create your own meals or snacks without having to worry about getting ready to go out. On a hot day, just some ice cold water to drink is plenty for us.

The most vital component of any hotel is that it is dog-friendly, so Gordo can travel comfortably. The Guesthouse Hotel is not only dog friendly; many of the staff are dog owners who are thrilled to see new visiting dogs walk through the front door.

The Guesthouse Hotel has boutique shopping with local artists and designers, a 24-hour front desk, and a mini-market. Meeting facilities and a common lounge are also available at the resort.

When the weather is nice, there’s a tiny gym with cardio machines, a magnificent rooftop deck with city views, and a library in the lobby. Guests can book spa treatments in their rooms or walk next door to Revive, a nearby facility. There is also a Tesla charging station.

The hotel has a partnership with two well-known local restaurants. Breakfast (bread pudding pancakes and banana-blueberry French toast, for example, $11-$13/£8-£10) and lunch (soups, salads, and sandwiches $3-$14/£2-£11) are available from Southport Grocery. By night, the Italian restaurant Calo serves an excellent thin-crust pizza (my go-to in town) and other classic meals ($14-$24/£11-£18).

The Guesthouse Hotel (Full Kitchen in Room)

Wrigley Field is 1.8 miles away, DePaul University – Lincoln Park Campus is 2.4 miles away, and Lincoln Park Zoo is a 10-minute drive away. Chicago O’Hare  International Airport is 20 km away.

Many users said that it is a great place to stay in Chicago. All of the staff are super friendly and make an effort to get to know the guests. Rooms are always very clean and are well-appointed with everything you need, including full-size washers and dryers. You actually feel like a local when staying there. A quick walk to great restaurants and shops in Andersonville.

7.  The Publishing House Bed and Breakfast: (Best For Good Rooms)

The Publishing House Bed and Breakfast is without a doubt Chicago’s most distinctive boutique hotel. This historic structure, which was built in 1909, was previously the home of the Free Methodist Publishing House. After three years of refurbishment, it reopened as a one-of-a-kind bed & breakfast in 2017 after three years of refurbishment.

The friendly owners are also outstanding cooks. Every morning, they personally serve a luxurious breakfast that includes fresh fruit, handmade granola, and made-to-order alternatives like corn fritters topped with poached eggs and spinach or vegetable frittatas with side salads. If you get hungry, freshly baked cookies and muffins are available all day.

The Publishing House Bed and Breakfast

The Publishing House is in the trendy West Loop district, just minutes from the gastronomic wonderland of Restaurant Row. There are also numerous live music venues, bars, and boutique shops in the surrounding area, so the location is unbeatable!

8.  Soho House: (Best for Lovers of Modern Italian Design)

This premium boutique hotel in the heart of Chicago features an on-site restaurant and complimentary property-wide WiFi access. Michigan Avenue’s shopping and dining are only a 2-minute walk away.

Every modern guest room at Thompson Chicago has a flat-screen cable TV and a minibar. Bathrobes, luxurious bath items, and modern rain shower heads are provided in the bathrooms. Nico Osteria, the on-site restaurant, serves homemade pasta, grilled seafood, and specialty cocktails in an elegant setting. All guests have access to in-room dining.

soho house chicago

Heaven for lovers of modern Italian design — not just the 49 bedrooms and 20 long-stay apartments, but the entire structure. Despite the fact that a tower block with a similar footprint has been on the same site since the mid-twentieth century, the current one is, in fact, brand new. As a result, for the first time in Soho House history, the in-house design team had entire control over the façade’s appearance.

The New York location of Soho House is famed for its spacious bathrooms. The full-sized bottles of Cowshed amenities, on the other hand, are the greatest part. The House Kitchen, Club Bar, and Drawing Room are located on the ninth level, surrounded by a broad balcony on two sides. The dimensions and feng shui are excellent: it seems spacious and airy during the day and cozy and buzzy at night.

The menu is divided not only by courses but also by style, so you can pick between meals found on Soho House menus all over the world, dishes found just on this House’s menu, and vegetarian dishes. (When in Rome, if in doubt, order the rigatoni amatriciana without hesitation, then wash it down with a glass of Sangiovese.) There is, of course, a Cecconi’s in addition to the main restaurant.

Floors seven and eight are occupied by the Soho Health Club, which, in addition to the normal gym and studio facilities and Cowshed treatment rooms, provides some rather daring hi-tech distractions such as cryotherapy (at a bracing minus-110 degrees Celsius), infrared, ozone, and IV-drip therapy.

A Citi bike station is right across the street, and the High Line Park entrance is close by for sunset walks. The Hudson River Park has a fantastic cycling and running trail. Taxis are readily available, and the front desk can arrange for private transportation. The A, C, E, 1, 2, 3, and L Subway stations to Brooklyn are all within walking distance for anybody staying here who intends to take the Subway.

Soho House (Best for Lovers of Modern Italian Design)

Their services are precise as you would expect them to be – young and hip but with a voluble Italian charm. Many users have great experiences there. They praise their excellent service and tasty food and drink! They Highly recommend going to sunset for the beautiful views.

Is it hard to get into the Soho House?

Getting into the Soho House is a luxury that not everyone has. It has tight requirements for allowing people into the community. There is a whole board in existence made up of club members who decide who gets into the club.

Which celebrities are members of Soho House?

The Hollywood Reporter did, however, persuade some renowned West Hollywood members, including actress Amy Adams, Girls showrunner Jenni Konner, filmmaker Paul Haggis, and screenwriter Danny Strong, to go on record about their love for Soho House.

9.  The Robey Hotel: (Comfortable Rooms)

The Robey is housed in a former art deco-style office building from 1929. This ancient structure, located between the trendy Wicker Park and Bucktown neighborhoods, was completely rebuilt and is now one of Chicago’s nicest hotels. Custom furniture, vintage decor, and relaxing maroon and gray tones can be seen in each of the rooms. You’ll appreciate the opulent additions, such as 400-thread-count linens, a Bluetooth sound system, and a smart TV. After a long day in the town, the comfortable bed is the ideal spot to relax.

The Robey Hotel

During the warmer months, you may relax by the rooftop pool, soaking up the rays and admiring the panoramic views of the Chicago skyline. The Cabana Club’s rooftop lounge serves summer-inspired Americana meals. If you’re looking for a specialty cocktail with a view, head to the hotel’s Up Room rooftop cocktail club.

The Robey is just steps from the Blue Line, making it easy to go to all of Chicago’s major attractions. Furthermore, the neighborhood is filled with stylish cafes, delectable restaurants, and one-of-a-kind stores.

The Robey is a 14-minute drive from the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls. Wrigley Field and Lincoln Park Zoo are all 3 miles away.

The hotel’s understated aesthetics mirror its modest service. I was shown to my room and given a ‘tour,’ but due to the lack of embellishment (even the light switches), there wasn’t much to go wrong. The wait service at Café Robey and the bars are warm, relaxed, and welcoming.

There is no spa or gym, however, there is a dipping pool on the sixth level of the neighboring building (The Cabana Club). For exercise enthusiasts, the hotel has a collaboration with Bucktown Athletic Club, a fully equipped gym next door, to which guests have complimentary access.

Everything about the Robey was very nice to excellent, but the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom is a frosted window so it is SUPER thin. Every sound made in the bathroom could be heard by someone in the bedroom. Also, because it is a downtown location, expect late-night city noise. The mattress on the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.

The Robey Hotel (Comfortable Rooms)

Highly recommended. It is absolutely perfect for a place to stay. Relatively quiet, very clean, and excellent staff service.

What are the check-in and check-out times at The Robey?

You can check-in beginning at 3 p.m. and ending at any time. There is a fee for early check-in (amount may vary, subject to availability). The check-out time is 12:00 p.m. There is a fee for late check-out (subject to availability).

Does The Robey offer free cancellation for a full refund?

Yes, The Robey has fully refundable room rates that may be booked on our website. If you booked a fully refundable room rate, you can cancel it up to a few days before check-in, depending on the cancellation policy of the resort. Just make sure you read the cancellation policy for the specific terms and circumstances.

10.  The Talbott Hotel: (Great Street Views)

The Talbott Hotel is undoubtedly one of the greatest hotels in Chicago if you want to be right in the middle of the action. There’s a reason people keep praising this vintage boutique hotel!

the talbott hotel chicago

This recently renovated hotel in the historic Gold Coast district is located in a 1927 structure. All of the luxury boutiques and gourmet restaurants on Magnificent Mile are only a few feet away. In addition, the Lakefront Trail is only a 6-minute walk away and provides breathtaking views of Lake Michigan.

Elegant boutique hotel rooms provide comfortable mattresses, excellent linens, soft bathrobes, and huge flat-screen televisions with streaming options for a peaceful movie night. If you’re traveling on business, each room has lightning-fast WiFi and a workstation. If you want more room, simply upgrade to one of the exquisite studios or suites.

Large marble vanities, marble shower/tub combinations, and Molton Brown products are included in the bathrooms. There is in-room climate control as part of the hotel’s Green-Seal credentials, and guests can choose a less frequent housekeeping schedule.

After a day of shopping, hiking, and touring, you may order room service and spend a relaxing night. Alternatively, dine on inventive American fare at the hotel’s restaurant 20 East. After dinner, visit the stylish on-site bar for a good bottle of wine or an innovative cocktail.

On-site amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and adaptable conference space. Laundry services are available, including valet dry cleaning. The hotel is 1.5 miles from Navy Pier, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Oak Street Beach is only a short 8-minute walk away. Less than a mile away is the legendary House of Blues music venue.

The Talbott Hotel (Great Street Views)

Many customers enjoy this hotel since the Gold Coast has no shortage of luxury residences, which is why this historic boutique hotel stands out with its residential appeal. While some may argue that the hotel lacks some of the frills seen at larger establishments, it more than makes up for it with abundant space and customized comfort.

Users also like its street views and great location, which provide a true city experience that makes every guest feel like a local, as well as an intimate bar that allows you to get to know your bartender by the first name.

How many rooms does the Talbott hotel have?

The Talbott, a historic boutique hotel in the center of Chicago’s Gold Coast, provides an intimate experience and personalized service, with 178 beautiful guest rooms—including 40 suites—and 1,800 square feet of private meeting and event space.

Who owns the Talbott Hotel Chicago?

In 2018, Hyatt Hotels announced the acquisition of Talbott management business Two Roads Hospitality, which brought Two Roads’ Joie de Vivre boutique hotel brand under the Hyatt umbrella.

11.  Thompson Chicago: (Great Food and Cocktails)

The Thompson Chicago is another architectural beauty in the lively Gold Coast district, surrounded by tree-lined lanes, historic mansions, and upscale stores.

Thompson Chicago

Oak Street Beach and North Avenue Beach are just a few minutes away if you wish to spend the day at the beach. If you want to get your cultural fix, both the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Chicago History Museum are close.

There are a variety of beautiful and quirky rooms and suites available, some with floor-to-ceiling windows with city and lake views, velvet mid-century contemporary couches, and comfortable mattresses with 400-thread-count SFERRA linens. The luxury bathrooms with rain showers, marble counters, and soft French terry cloth towels will appeal to you. You may even upgrade to a lake-view room or a suite with a separate bedroom.

There are several restaurants just outside your door, but if you want to remain in, Nico Osteria serves real Italian seafood, handmade pasta, and gourmet sandwiches. The Salone Nico Bar and Lounge serves inventive specialty cocktails as well as an extensive selection of Italian and Mediterranean wines. The staff there are very friendly.

Many individuals prefer this hotel because, while business travel might feel too stuffy, this establishment allows professionals to let free in luxury. Though it lacks some of the full-service amenities found in other luxury hotels (spa, pool), it makes up for it with character in the form of exceptional dining, central proximity to nightlife and attractions, and a hip, low-key vibe ideal for those who want to mix business and pleasure while still getting a good night’s sleep.

Thompson Chicago (Great Food and Cocktails)

How much is parking at the Thompson Hotel Chicago?

This parking is relatively expensive at $45, which seems in line with hotels in the area.
