The Fly Geyser, located by Black Rock City, Nevada, is strange because it somehow grows taller, like a mini-volcano spouting steam instead of lava. This geyser is located on private area, so no one can see it up close. The owner of the property rejects the opportunity to make a fortune from tourists, protecting this bizarre natural phenomenon from crowds of people (like me) who would love to trample all over that land.
